Privacy policy
Last updated September 30, 2026
JV Social is a one-person social media studio in Windsor-Essex, Ontario. This page explains what happens to the details you share through this website, in plain English.
What I collect
When you send the contact form ("postcard"), I receive your name, your email, your business name, the services you ticked and your message. That's it. There are no accounts, no tracking pixels and no advertising cookies on this site.
Why I collect it
Only to reply to you: to answer your question, send you your free content audit and talk about working together. I won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails unless you ask me to.
Who else sees it
Nobody buys or rents your details, ever. A few services help run the site and see your information only as part of doing that job:
- My web host stores the website and its database.
- My email provider delivers the notification I get and the confirmation you get.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces, so your browser shares your IP address with Google when the page loads.
Links to Instagram take you to Instagram, where their own privacy policy applies.
Cookies
The site sets two small cookies that it needs to work: one keeps the contact form secure and one remembers your session between page loads. Neither is used to track you.
How long I keep it
I keep postcards for as long as we're talking or working together, and delete them within two years of our last conversation. If we become clients, I keep what the law requires for business records.
Your choices
You can ask me at any time to see the details I hold about you, correct them or delete them. Just email me and I'll take care of it within 30 days.
If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new "last updated" date.
